"Deep Woods Solitude"

"Deep Woods Solitude" is a painting I did about 1982 or 3 when I first was becoming serious with my art. It is done on a 12"x16" canvas board. It does show the early influences of Ron Huff, an artist that I respect very much. I am sure that he has passed on but I hope to pass some of his influence on to the other art students who study with me now. In this manner nothing will be lost if the tradition continues. "Midnight Tide"

This is my next in the series of seascape paintings. It is 5"X7". I love paintings that reflect the mood of mystery and that mood is captured with diffused lighting, fog and mist, as well as water. This painting is in a private collection in Argentina.

A Return to my Art

     It has been a while since I have posted any art to my blogs. Most of the art I have been doing is the miniature sizes called ACEO which is 2.5" X 3.5".  I have painted and sold many on Ebay; however, whenever I have painted one of those that are of top quality with lots of details, colors etc.I find that it is sold at a price that makes having done it not worth the effort and the person on the other end of the transaction receiving the piece I should have kept for myself. I have decided to post my work here first.

     The first painting I will place up here is a seascape that has been done in oils. I have not painted in oils for quite some time for I have been developing my technique with watercolor. It is titled "Moonlight Surf" and the size is 16"X20" The sides have no staples and are painted deep blue so that it may be hung either with or without a frame.

     Please be advised that the colors represented in this view is an approximation due to differences in camera. computer and other graphics. Of course I have watermarked this view, it is not on the original.   I will also include a Certificate of Authenticity which includes date painted, location and of course my signature assuring you that this is a painting done by my hand.
